VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We offer both long-term and short-term volunteer opportunities. For our long-term opportunities, we require volunteers to sign our service agreement, complete a full application, and participate in training. You can find our short term volunteer opportunities on our partner site.

Medical Clinic Volunteer

These volunteers care for the patients during an ultrasound exam while the nurse does the ultrasound scan and can also help clean and stock exam rooms.

Parenting Instructor

A parenting instructor is trained to work with clients who are enrolled in our Empower Life parenting programs. These meetings take place during our normal business hours and center around our BrightCourse curriculum. These volunteers are amazing mentors and support systems to people who are focusing on improving their parenting skills.

Empower Dad Instructor

An Empower Dad Instructor will help meet the needs of our male clients by providing educational support unique to the needs of a father using our BrightCourse curriculum. Empower Dad meets twice per month in the evenings.

Licensed Medical Volunteer

Under the direction of our Co-Medical Directors, a medical volunteer, who is currently licensed in the State of Michigan, will be trained to perform urine pregnancy tests, assist or perform limited obstetrical ultrasounds and/or educate our community regarding sexual health.
