Meet the staff
PRESIDENT & CEO
Kate is a graduate of Central Michigan University who has called Central Michigan home since 2001. She has been with Life Choices since 2015. She stepped into her role as President in January of 2018. She loves building relationships in the community with our new and current donors, other community organizations, and reaching out to those who may need our services.
Chief Operating Officer
Krista is a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University and has been a Central Michigan resident all her life. Krista loves camping and enjoying the great outdoors with her family. At Life Choices, Krista helps to track our finances and plays a huge role in human resource responsibilities. She is a critical part of our Life Choices team.
Sue has been a part of the Life Choices team since the fall of 2015. She is affectionately known as the gatekeeper and she is the friendly voice you will reach on the other end of the line when you call. Sue’s initial care for patients, clients and donors alike is an essential part of our team here at Life Choices.
Director of Client Services
Lizzie is a CMU alum who originally called the West Coast of Michigan home. She has been a part of the Life Choices team since the fall of 2017. At Life Choices, she recruits, trains and schedules volunteers to help with our many programs and also is able to be a patient advocate for those we serve in the Medical Clinic. She plays the oboe in a local orchestra and loves musicals.
Director of Parenting Programs
Erin has been serving as the Director of Parenting Programs since April of 2019. Erin is originally from Northwest Ohio and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a graduate degree from Louisiana State University. She loves being outside and reading books.
Sexual Risk Avoidance Educator
Lacey has a background and degree in the nursing field. She is originally from South Dakota. She and her husband and children have called Central Michigan home since 2016. Lacey helps to cover middle school presentations in our SHARE program where she enjoys encouraging young teens to make choices to protect their whole health.
Janet Steele, R.N.
Sexual Risk Intervention Nurse & Sonographer
Janet is a registered nurse who studied at Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing. She works under the direction of our co-medical directors in our Medical Clinic. Her care for patients’ whole health is her number one concern. She has a 90% excellent rating from our patient satisfaction surveys. Janet is a fan of bluegrass music and enjoying outdoor concerts with her husband, Dan.
Ben takes care of Life Choices custodial needs. He keeps us smiling and we are so thankful for his help keeping things nice and tidy in the office.
